INTRODUCING Gauntlet
For the past six years, our team has been hard at work growing the sport through fair, consistent ninja competitions from beginner to advanced. We have shared unforgettable moments with the community, some good and some not so great. But no matter what obstacle we faced, we have always put the needs of our community first and continued to work tirelessly towards our mission to turn ninja into a sport. We are excited to announce another major leap towards reaching our goal.
This spring, we will be bringing you the Gauntlet Pro Obstacle Challenge. The event will be the first attempt at turning ninja competitions into a live professional sporting event. The event will feature paid athletes, a live audience and a professionally edited pilot episode of the Tournament.
ABOUT GOLIATHON

Goliathon's goal is to bring aid to those in need and have a little fun in the process. All proceeds to date from their obstacle course run have been sent to another non-profit organization called Charity: water to bring clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Goliathon's obstacle course run is perfect for all ages and skill levels. Their team has developed a unique 3 tier system with obstacles for beginner, intermediate and advanced practitioners.
Goliathon’s obstacle course run is completely independent of our Gauntlet Tournament and will require athletes to register through Goliathon. For more details on Goliathon check the link below. |
WAYS TO COMPETE
Amateur Tournament
May 21 & 22
Ages: 13 & Up
Not a pro athlete? No worries! Our team has modified our pro Gauntlet format for amateur athletes ages 13 & up*. Similar to our pro Gauntlet tournament, athletes will have 2 opportunities to set their best time on a modified version of our pro course. From there we will take the top 8 times and place them into a single-elimination tournament.
*Parents of younger athletes don't need to worry. We are working on modified youth amateur and pro-level competitions. Details to be released later this year.
*We are defining our cut-off age based on the athlete’s age on Feb 21, 2022. (Age cut off date for NNL’s season 7)
May 21 & 22
Ages: 13 & Up

Open Qualifier
May 22
Ages: 15 & Up
Only athletes qualified to our 2021 Worlds Elite Division and winners of our Open Qualifier will have an opportunity to enter our closed qualifier for a chance to make their way to our pro tournament. Athletes at our Open Qualifier will have two opportunities to post their fastest times on our slightly modified pro course. The 8 fastest male and female athletes will move on to race head to head in a single-elimination head tournament. The top 3 male and female athletes will move on to our closed qualified for a chance to enter our pro tournament.
Athletes registered for our closed qualifier can also compete in the open qualifier. If an athlete that is already qualified for our closed qualifier places in a qualifying spot, their spot will bump down to the next available athlete.
May 22

Closed Qualifier

Invite-only
Our pro tournament will only feature the top 8 male and female athletes in the world. These 16 athletes will be selected through our closed qualifier speed trials on June 2nd and 3rd. Our closed qualifier will be invite-only for athletes qualified to worlds through our NNL’s elite division. Athletes that register will have two opportunities to post their fastest time on our pro course. The top 8 male and female athletes with the fastest times will move on to the pro tournament immediately following Goliathon on June 5th.
June 1st & 2nd
Invite-only
Our pro tournament will only feature the top 8 male and female athletes in the world. These 16 athletes will be selected through our closed qualifier speed trials on June 2nd and 3rd. The top 8 male and female athletes in the world will race head to head in a single-elimination tournament. The tournament will be recorded in front of a live audience immediately following the Goliathon obstacle course run! The tournament will be professionally edited and reproduced at a later date.
