Letter to event coordinators & Facility owners:
The National Ninja League board of directors has reviewed the following organizations and determined them to uphold a standard of excellence required to grow the sport of Ninja. The committee understands the short term reasoning for why gyms would like to participate in many leagues. There are clear financial gains in diversifying a portfolio. However, we do ask gyms to consider the long-term effects many associations and rules will have on the sport. Traditional sports have standard rules and objectives applied to all ages and skill levels. This standardization is critical in developing a successful sport with national traction and Olympic potential.
We at the National Ninja League believe Ninja is the sport of the future. However, as the sport continues to grow more organization try to capitalize on the growth without considering the effects their short-term gain may have on the future of this blossoming sport. Our board of directors has reviewed the organizations listed below. We have determined these organizations hold a high standard when it comes to facility selection and rule enforcement. However, we expect gym owners to consider and weigh any long-term effects of multiple rules formatting and standards on the growth of Ninja.
With this being stated. Here is the current list of organizations approved by the National Ninja League:
(Updated 10/2/19)
Athlete Warrior Games (AWG)
Colorado Ninja League
Florida Ninja League
New England Ninja Association (NENA)
Texas Ninja League
UNX
Approval means facilties will be able to host events for both organizations without violating the NNL rulebook. These approved organizations are subject to change. It is possible for organizations to lose their approved status. If this happens gyms would be expected to comply with the new approved list within a reasonable timeframe.
